Privacy Policy
What we collect and why
When you place an order, we collect your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and the details of what you bought, such as sizes, engraving, and gift notes. We use this to process and ship your order, handle returns and repairs, and provide customer support. If you ask about a custom piece or book an appointment, we also collect your design ideas, budget, and any reference images you send, so we can create your piece and schedule your visit.
If you create an account, we store your login, wishlist, and saved preferences to run your account and personalize your experience. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and we receive only limited details, such as the card type, the last four digits, and your billing address, to confirm payment and prevent fraud. We do not store your full card number.
We also automatically collect device and usage data, including your IP address, browser, pages viewed, approximate location, and the site that referred you. This helps us keep the website secure, understand how it is used, and measure our advertising. Finally, we keep the messages you send us and your marketing choices so we can respond to you and send updates or offers you have agreed to receive.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with service providers that help us run our business, including our website and e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers and insurers, email and text message providers, analytics tools, and fraud prevention services. They may use your data only to serve us. We also share limited data with advertising and analytics partners through cookies and pixels, as described below.
We may disclose information to authorities or other parties when the law requires it or when needed to protect rights, property, and safety. If starcnyc is sold, merged, or restructured, your information may be transferred to the new owner.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and pixels to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and show relevant ads, including tools from [Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc. — list the ones you use]. Under some state laws, this may count as "sharing" data for targeted advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info, or send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor where required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, or stop texts by replying STOP. We will still send you order and account messages.
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Texas, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, receive a copy of it, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing. We will not penalize you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email [superstargems99@gmail.com]. We may verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent, and if we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to us.
California residents: in the past 12 months we may have collected identifiers, purchase information, internet activity, and approximate location, and disclosed them to the providers and partners described above for business purposes.
Retention and security
We keep your information only as long as needed for orders, warranty and repair service, tax and legal requirements, and dispute resolution, and then we delete or de-identify it. We protect it with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, but no system is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date above and, for major changes, notify you by email or on our website.
